Larry Calloway, 73
Larry Calloway, 73, of rural Frankfort, passed away at 5:35 p.m. May 17, 2013, at his home.
Born December 4, 1939, in Frankfort to Sylvester R. Calloway and Nina L. (Bollinger) Calloway.
Mr. Calloway married Judy A. Bloomquist July 24, 1965 in Frankfort, and she survives.
Mr. Calloway worked at Fairfield in Lafayette and farmed for 38 years, retiring in 2001. He was a 1958 graduate of Frankfort High School and served in the Marines from January 1959 to December 1962 as a combat engineer. Mr. Calloway was a member of the Frankfort Eagles, UAW Local 2317. He enjoyed playing cards at the union hall every Tuesday. He was also a former member of the NRA. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, mushroom hunting, and was a proud patriot. Mr. Calloway loved spending time with his Grand Children.
Surviving are father, Sylvester Calloway, of Frankfort; one son, Vinson L. (Lynette) Calloway, of South Whitley; two daughters, Robin Lawrence, of Frankfort and Heather Calloway, of Fortville; one brother, Kim K. (Susan) Calloway, of Frankfort; four grandchildren, Cathy Woodard, of Lafayette, Tyler Badders, of Frankfort, Taylor and Victoria Calloway, of South Whitley, IN.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday May 21, 2013, at Goodwin Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday May 22, 2013, at Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park with Military Honors.
