CRAWFORDSVILLE — Mark Allan Craig, age 39, died around 4 to 5 a.m. on Highway 212, about 10 miles east of Ashland, Mont., due to a single-car accident dying at the scene on Oct. 1, 2012 on his way to new life in Auburn, Wash. He was cremated in Montana after being a donor in Billings, Mont. Mark will live through his gift as a donor.
Mark was born Aug. 17, 1973, in Jeffersonville, Clark County, Ind. He was the son of Roger Dale Craig ad Dellie Jean (Fox) Craig.
Mark graduated from Knob Noster High School in Knob Noster, Mo., in 1991. He has attended 2½ years of college at Central Missouri State University, and some courses at Purdue University
and Ivy Tech Community College in the field of Art in Lafayette.
Surviving are his fiancé, Deana Rogers of Forks, Wash.; his parents of Crawfordsville; a sister, Marla of Arizona; three nephews, Jason Craig of Texas, Stephen Castrogiovanni of New York and Nicholas Fowler of Arizona; a niece, Mariah Hughes of Florida; a great-niece, Zeraea Edge of Florida; and a great-nephew, Bradley Castrogiovanni of New York.
Also surviving are his grandmothers, Dorothy Craig, Crawfordsville, and Deloris Fox of Attica; three uncles, Larry (Carol) Craig, Danville, Ill., Richard (Roberta) Craig of LaGrange and Richard Dale Fox Jr. of Braggs, Wyo.; and a great-aunt Elizabeth Bucholz of Devils Lake, N.D.
He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, Samuel Larkin Craig Jr. and Richard Dale Fox Sr.
A memorial service will be held by co-workers of Mark's on Oct. 29, 2012 at 1 p.m. It will be held at the Wea Rec Center, 2004 Wea School Road, Lafayette, IN 47909.
