Attica - Mary Jane (Murdock) Beedle, 77, Attica, passed away at the St. Elizabeth Central Hospital, Lafayette, on Friday, January 25, 2013, at 9:35 a.m.

Mary was born in Cayuga, IN, on December 25, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Cecil and Ethel (Brown) Murdock. She lived most of her life in Attica, where she was a homemaker.

She was formerly married to Howard Alfie Beedle.

Mary attended the Attica and West Lebanon Church of the Nazarene. More recently she had been attending and was baptized in the Pentecostal Church in Crawfordsville. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Post # 3318 of Attica. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing cards and listening to country music.

Mary leaves behind five children, David (Tina) Murdock, Lafayette; Cathy (Gene) Poole-Wolanin, Williamsport; James Beedle and Twilla (Troy) Beedle-Minick, both of Attica; Darrell Beedle, Williamsport; 6 grandchildren, Anna Beedle-Garriott, Kristy Beedle, Shane Beedle, Ashley White-Heckathorn, Bobby Poole and Philip Idle; 12 great-grandchildren, Joseph Beedle, Nathan Poole, Ian Beedle, Angeleah Poole, Khrista Garriott, Preston Collins, Nevaeh White, Braxton Beedle, Ayden Beedle, Taylor Beedle; two sisters, Dorothy Williams and Luella (Sam) Cook, both of Watseka, IL. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Murdock; 3 brothers, a sister and an infant great-grandson, Alexander Beedle.

Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Monday, January 28th 5-8 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 29th, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Phipps officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
