Matthew Scott Strahle, 55

Matthew Scott Strahle, 55, passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2013 in Naples, FL. Scott was born on June 22, 1958 to the late Tom and Linda Strahle, in Logansport, IN. He spent most of his life in Lafayette, IN, and moved to Naples, FL, 5 years ago. Scott enjoyed golfing, he was a gourmet cook, and he loved spending time with his friends and family. He loved bowling, and one of his biggest thrills was bowling a perfect 300 game. He graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1976 and attended Purdue University and IUPUI. Scott was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lafayette. He worked at Staley's/Tate and Lyle in Lafayette for over 20 years, and spent the last several years in the health care industry. Scott is survived by his son, Joshua Strahle, Denver, CO. He is also survived by his sister Gretchen Lyons, Ft. Mill, SC, his niece Jordan Lyons, and nephew Justin Lyons. He is survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved dog Sophie.

Services will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lafayette, IN , on Saturday, September 7, and will be officiated by Father Dan Gartland. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. with the funeral Mass at 10. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Almost Home Humane Society, 1705 N. 2nd St., Lafayette, IN 47905.
