Raymond K. Wagoner, 96

Raymond K. Wagoner, 96, of rural Camden, died Sunday-Jan 13, 2013, at 11:28pm at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Oct 8, 1916, in Surrey, ND, to the late Jesse & Elizabeth Hufford Wagoner. His marriage was to S. Fern Miller, at her parents' home near Camden, on June 1, 1938, and she preceded him in death on Jan 7, 2009. He attended school in Ward County, ND. He and his family moved from ND to Camden in 1936. He was a general contractor, building custom homes in Carroll and surrounding counties, for over 40 years. He was a perfectionist during the entire process of building the home, and his reputation was known for this trait. He retired in 1979. He was a member of the Deer Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church near Camden, where he has been a minister since 1949.

Surviving: daughters, Lois (Dale) Long, Rossville, and Shirley (Keith) Fisher, Camden; son Dr. Gordon (Shirley) Wagoner Flora; sister Elnora Flora, Englewood, OH; brothers, Ezra (Lavon) Wagoner, Rossville, Floyd (Opal) Wagoner, Camden, Calvin (Lois) Wagoner, Pyrmont; 9 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by an infant granddaughter Janice; 2 great-grandchildren, Sophia & Harrison, and their mother Leah Wagoner; an infant brother.

Services: Friends may call Wednesday 2-5pm & 6-8pm at the Deer Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church near Camden, service there Thursday 10am, home brethren officiating. Burial at Musselman Cemetery-Camden. Memorial contributions may be made to any organization, or individual of your choice, envelopes available at the church.
