Richard W. Crane, 82

Richard W. Crane, 82, of Pembroke Pines, Fla., passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013, at his residence. He was born May 9, 1930, in Hoopeston, Ill., the son of the late Chancy "Tom" Earl and Flossie Eunice (Parker) Crane.

Richard served in the U.S. Navy before graduating from Indiana University in Bloomington. He moved to south Florida in 1969 and spent 25 years with Carolina Aircraft Corp. in Ft. Lauderdale (later known as National Jets). He then spent 15 years as President of Crane Accounting Services in Plantation until his retirement.

Richard was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge.

Richard was married to Charlotte K. Whisler. She preceded him in death on September 30, 2004.

Survivors include his children, Jack (wife-Lois) Cripe; Frank (wife-Sue) Cripe; Judy (husband-Allen) Waltz; grandchildren, Duane, Paula, Cathy, Cindy, Pamela and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Laura, Amanda, Craig, Erin, Estelle, Barrett, Jack, Michael, Shari and Charlotte.

Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, January 12th, from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Burial with military honors will be held in the Riverside Cemetery in Attica.
