Richard L. "Zeke" Young, 66

Richard L. "Zeke" Young, 66, passed away unexpectedly August 30, 2013 at his home in Monticello. He had been in failing health.

He was born February 4, 1947 to the late Charles R. and Ethel (Stinson) Young and attended Wolcott High School. He was also in the National Guard.

Mr. Young was involved in the trucking industry most of his life and later worked at Caterpillar Logistics for 10 years.

Zeke was a member of Palestine Christian Church. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching women's college athletics.

Survivors include a daughter Heather (Wayne) Wingerter of Arizona City, Arizona, a son Richard L. "RL" Young of Green Valley, Arizona; two sisters, Doris Spainhower, South Bend, and Jane (Ronald) Young, Monticello; two granddaughters Nichole and Haley Wingerter of Arizona City, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death with his parents are three brothers, Charles, Joe and Sam Young.

Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday September 4, 2013 at Foster Clapper Funeral Home of Wolcott. Burial to follow at Palestine Cemetery.
