Robert L. Crain, 62

Robert L. "Bob" Crain, 62, of Kentland, died at 5:20 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka, Ill.

He was born September 19, 1950, in Lafayette, to the late George L. Crain Sr. and Eileen (Lloyd) Crain. He graduated from South Newton High School in 1969.

Robert served in the United States Army during Vietnam.

He lived in Lafayette prior to moving back to Kentland and was recently retired.

Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, motorcycles and, most importantly, spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are five children, Lisa Crain, of the Lafayette area, Josh Crain (Robby), of Lafayette, Jason Crain (Miriam), of Monticello, Jared Crain (Liz) and James Crain (fiancée: Jenny), of Lafayette; one brother, George L. Crain Jr. (companion: Pam), of Kentland; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Trevor Crain.

Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. CST Friday, February 15, 2013, at Fairlawn Cemetery of Kentland.
