Ruby Eva Tam, 74
Ruby Eva Tam, 74, of Delphi, a devoted servant of God, passed away on August 23, 2013 at IU Health in Lafayette.
Ruby was born on April 3, 1939 in Mulberry to the late Charles and Eva (Denton) Potts.
Ruby was a 1957 graduate of Burnettsville High School.
She married Jack Douglas Tam on Sept. 8, 1964 at the Burnettsville Baptist Church. He passed away on Jan. 2, 2012.
Jack and Ruby owned and operated Tam's Restaurant in Burnettsville for many years.
Ruby enjoyed cooking, baking, woodworking and geneology.
She is survived by daughters: Sally Idle of Martinsville, Joan Craig (husb: Donnie) of Marianna, FL, Bonnie Lohse of Monticello; sons: George A. Tam (wife: Beth) of Monticello and Ron Tam (wife: Debbie) of Idaville; sister: Doris Rogers (husb: James) of Remington; brothers: Don Potts (wife: Clarabelle) of Idaville, Walter Potts (wife: Jean) of Monticello and Wayne Potts (wife: Patricia) of Monticello; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded by her husband, Jack and her sisters: Mary Lossing, Ruth Martin and Gladys Potts.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi. Pastor Julian Herrera officiating. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville.
