Susan J. Bond

Susan J. "Sue" Bond, of Lafayette, passed away at 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Ruth Marie (Burdge) Bond. She was a 1969 graduate of Finneytown High School, and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Recreational Therapy from Purdue University in 1973.

Susan was a server at Red Lobster for 24 years and had been a private swimming instructor since college. She was active in the Northminster Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati. She sold Mary Kay and Tupperware, loved animals, especially dogs, and was an avid sports fan.

Surviving are a brother Neil Bond (wife, Denise) of Cincinnati, and a sister, Natalie Emerson (husband, George) of Bonita, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation Monday, December 17, 2012, at Hippensteel Funeral Home from 10 to 11 a.m. with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Josh Greiner officiating. Entombment to take place at Arlington Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2145 Compton Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Natalie's No Kill Animal Shelter, 10 South 16th St., the Luekemia Foundation, or Northminster Presbyterian Church, 703 Compton Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
