Barbara L. Huber

Pine Village - Barbara Lucille (Brimberry) Huber, 88, formerly of Pine Village, passed away at 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in her residence at Greentree in West Lafayette.

Barbara was born on January 5, 1926 in Mellott. She was the daughter of the late Henry E. And Dola (Baty) Brimberry. She had attended Williamsport High School. On September 29, 1945, she married the love of her life, Howard NS Huber. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2004.

Barbara was a homemaker who also worked right along with her husband in the fields while raising their Hereford cattle in Warren County for 55 years. They had also wintered in Sebring, FL for 15 years.

Barbara was a 50-year O.E.S. member and Past Matron of the Pine Village O.E.S., now affiliated with the Otterbein O.E.S. She had been a member of the Pine Crest Country Club in Largo, FL and the Oak Grove Country Club in Oxford where she had shot a hole-in-one in 2004. She was a member of the Pine Village United Methodist Church. She loved traveling, fishing and playing cards with dear friends, Charles Alm, Tedd Bowen and Judy Morrill.

Survivors include her children, Howard E. (Sharon) Huber, Pine Village, Dick (Kathy) Huber, Boswell and Marilyn (Dan) McFatridge, Pine Village; a brother, Bill (Betty) Brimberry, Conyers, GA; grandchildren, Tracey Huber, Jaime (Mike) Hicks, Christy (Michael) Brost, Dan (Michelle) Huber, Rob (Kristie) McFatridge and Kelly (J.T.) Yadon; and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Watts, granddaughter, Tammie Cosgray, great-granddaughter, Ashley Brost and great-grandson, Jordan Hicks.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to Greentree Assisted Living for all that their caring staff has done to make Mother's stay comfortable and enjoyable. Also, thank you to Great Lakes Caring & Hospice for their wonderful care and help through a very difficult time.

Visitation will be held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon. An Easter Star Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon with the funeral service to follow. Burial will follow in the Rainsville Cemetery, Rainsville.
