Beatrice Stromberg died peacefully in Louisville, Kentucky on June 20. Beatrice lived a long and full life. She was born Beatrice Elizabeth Palm in 1923 and grew up in Hector, Minnesota, where her father was the pastor of an Augustana Lutheran Church. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College and was working as a school teacher in central Minnesota when she met her future husband, Melvin Stromberg. The couple raised six children, and Bea lived in West Lafayette until last year. She was an accomplished weaver and a gourmet cook, but she put most of her considerable energy into providing a loving home for her family. She was a long-time member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin and her brothers Theodore and Daniel. Bea is survived by her sister Dorothy and her six children: Peter Stromberg, Andy Stromberg, Liz Laderman, Arny Stromberg, John Stromberg, and Maija Stromberg.
