Charles T. Johnson, 82

Charles T. Johnson, 82, of Rockfield, passed away at 2:53 pm Monday at his residence. Born February 14, 1931 at Battle Ground, IN. He was the son of Elmer F. and Georgia B. (maiden-Pittser) Johnson. On November 27,1950 in Delphi. He married Betty G. Trapp. He worked at the Aluminum plant in Lafayette before joining the US Air Force in 1950. He served in both Korea and Vietnam in the supply division. He retired in 1970 as a Senior Master Sergeant of the Air Force. He then worked at Wilson Foods in Logansport. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion at Delphi; the Airman's Association, the Moose Lodge at Monticello, and served on the Rockfield Sewer District Planning Commission. He enjoyed riding his scooter and loved the Indianapolis Colts.

He is survived by his wife, one son Anthony Wayne(Trudy) Johnson of Cutler, two daughters Belinda(Robert) Rodenbaugh of Lafayette, and Maylana Proper of Rockfield, one brother Harold E.(Viola) Johnson of Folkston, GA; a sister Sharon(Sam) Cook of West Virginia, one sister-in-law Mary Johnson of Delphi, and his mother-in-law Pearl Trapp of Camden, 9 grandchildren, 4 step grand; 21 great-grandchildren, 3 step great-grand, and 1 step great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one daughter Olegna Kite, one sister, one brother and one grandson.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Friday at Cree Funeral Home, Camden with Pastor Greg Britt officiating. Burial will follow at the Musselman Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by the American Legions of Delphi and Camden and the Delphi VFW. Friends may call 4-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
