Cynthia Golden, 65, of Lafayette, died unexpectedly at 2:17 AM Saturday, November 17, 2012, at St. Elizabeth East.
She was born November 30, 1946, in Lafayette, to the late Woodrow and Wardina Riddle Randolph.
She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1964.
On August 30, 1987, she married Richard Golden in Lafayette and he survives.
Cynthia was a daycare teacher at Grace Daycare for the past 25 years.
She was a member of First Christian Church, where at one time had taught Sunday school. She was also a member of American Legion Post 11 Auxiliary. She lived for her grandchildren and loved watching them perform in First Edition Choir at Jeff. Cynthia was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader and loved animals, especially her dog Sammy.
Surviving along with her husband Richard; is a daughter Denise Marsh; a brother Bruce Randolph, (wife Paula); a sister Debbie Clampitt, (husband Bob), all of Lafayette; five grandsons - Ryan Marsh, (girlfriend Brittney Corey and her daughter Brena), Cory Marsh, (girlfriend Kelly Woodram), Kyle Marsh, (girlfriend Megean Bauer), Derrick Childers and Dalton Childers; a great-grandchild Addison Renee Marsh; a special aunt Mary Roth and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Childers.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel with Funeral Service's at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd, with Chaplain Jan Rybka officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
