DeLayne Kay Conner Wolf

DeLayne Kay Conner Wolf of Hilton Head Island, SC died Wednesday, October 16, 2013.

She was born August 21, 1946, in Knox, Indiana, to Alvin A. & Mildred F. (Barden) Conner. She attended Mulberry schools and was a 1964 graduate of Clinton Prairie High School. On August 14, 1965, she married James R. Wolf in Rossville, Indiana, and he survives. Her working career spanned Purdue University, Halsma Insurance Agency, Bob Geiger State Farm Insurance Agency where she was involved with the Insurance Women's Association and completed the training and earned her Certified Professional Insurance Woman's certificate. After leaving State Farm, she became the Financial Counselor for Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health and Home Hospitals until her husband retired and they moved to Hilton Head Island, SC. She was a 1990 honors graduate of Ivy Tech in Lafayette, in Computer Programming Technology.

While living in Hilton Head Island, she was the Financial Counselor and ER Registration person at HHI Regional Hospital, retiring in August 2011. She was active in her church being on several ministries including the Knitting and Health Ministries at First Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband, daughter Rhonda W. (Chris) Jones, daughter Kari D. (Ted) Bumbleburg, daughter-in-law Jennifer Flodder Wolf of Indianapolis, IN. Her brothers Alvin (Irene) Conner and John (Vicki) Conner of Lafayette, and her mother-in-law Jean Wolf of Rossville. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Cameron Bumbleburg, Walker Jones, Conner and Anna Wolf. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Sean.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 26, at 3 pm at First Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held in Indiana at a date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, donations to First Presbyterian Church, 540 Wm. Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928, or Indiana Organ Procurement Organization, 3760 Gunion Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222 would be appreciated.
