Dolores N. James, 87, of Lafayette, died at St. Elizabeth East, 11:09 a.m., Monday November 19, 2012. She had been a patient there for one day and in failing health the past year.
Dolores was born in Dundee, November 4, 1925, the daughter of the late Clarence V. and Dorothy Poutz Naville, and was a 1943 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School.
She married Donald R. James at Tucson, Ariz., July 2, 1949, and he survives. Dolores was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and the Purdue Retired Wives Club.
Surviving with her husband is a brother, Francis Naville of Monticello; 3 nieces, Nancy Naville, Jeanie Klippel and Connie Pfrommer; and 4 nephews, Robert, David, Gary and James Naville. She was preceded in death by a brother C.V. Naville Jr. and by a sister in infancy.
Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cathedral at 1 p.m., Friday, Fr.
