Earl Jay Burdine, 77

Earl Jay Burdine, 77, of Clarks Hill, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013, in Franciscan St. Elizabeth Central.

Earl was born on October 15, 1935, in Lafayette, to the late Amos and Justine Burdine.

On August 1, 1959, he married Delta Burton in Kentucky; she survives.

Earl served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War and was honorably discharged.

He was a Truck Driver for Inweld and Biggs Pump & Supply for 45 years.

Earl was a member of Calvary Chapel and he enjoyed bowling.

Surviving with his wife, are his daughters, Kathy Kelly (husband: Ernie) of Lafayette and Kimberly Salla (husband: Michael) of Union, Ky. Also surviving are 4 brothers; 4 sisters; grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, T.J., and Taylor; and 2 great-grandchildren, Abigail and Layla.

Services will be held on Friday, April 5 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Chapel, 2111 State St., Lafayette, with Pastor Joe Bell officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
