Helen L. Andersen

Helen L. Andersen, 71, of Lafayette passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at her residence. She was born April 7, 1942, in Lafayette to the late Edward and L. Marine Mansfield Morrison. Helen graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1960 and she later married Stephen Andersen in Lafayette and he survives.

Helen was a homemaker and then worked at the BMV for 18 years retiring as Assistant Manager. She was a member of First Christian Church and volunteered for numerous organizations in the community

Helen lived life to the fullest, never turned down a challenge and dedicated her life to helping others.

With Neil Diamond in her head and her family in her heart, Helen had decided from this great Earth to depart. She's dancing in those pearly streets with ribbons mode of gold, reuniting with her family some are young & some are old. Although it may be hard to do, Please do not be sad. All her suffering is through and for that we should be glad. She has left this worldly place and we can no longer hold her. But rest assured she's always there sitting on your shoulder. Although you cannot touch her, or find her with your sight, you each have a new Angel watching day and night.

Surviving along with her loving husband are her children Bentley M. Andersen wife Kathy of Lafayette,

Margo S. Kerrigan husband Daniel of Battle Ground, Corina D. Andersen Fiance' Scott Riggins of Lafayette, grandchildren Joshua, Mercedes and Cord Andersen, Jordan and Cooper Cummins. Also survivng are very special sister-in-laws Ruth Morrison and Julie Morrison both of Lafayette, her best friends Linda Potvin and Jan Sehafer and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by sisters Barbara and Diane and brothers Donald, Marvin and Mahlon.

Visitation will be 2-5 PM Sunday December 8, 2013 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Helen requested in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Michael J Fox Foundation. Sign the guest book and leave memories at www.soller-baker.com
