James Wymond Malone

Was born to the late Sis. Elsie and Bro. Frank Malone on July 22, 1944, in Gates, Tenn. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Ripley, Tenn.

James graduated from Carver High School in Brownsville, Tenn. in 1963. He later relocated to Lafayette where he has lived for the past 42 years. He retired from AE Staley (Tate & Lyle) and Indiana Laborers Union 1774. He was a member of Floyd Lodge 23 and A.E.A.O.N.M.S. Shrine of N. and S. American Temple 124. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on cars.

On November 8, 2012, he departed this life. He was preceded in death by his father, Bro. Frank Malone, his mother, Sis. Elsie Malone, two brothers, F.T. Malone and Hubert Malone, two sisters, Rosalyn Joy Malone and Allene "Eleanor" Snipes and one daughter, Shirley Wolma.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Brenda (Wesley) Robinson and Carolyn Malone; one son, Richard (Linita) Malone; his ex-wife, Lillie Pearl Malone; one son-in-law, Joe Wolma; special family friend, Deloris Williams, all of Lafayette; one sister, Hattie Frank (Sammy Jean) Garrisons, of Ripley, Tenn.; one brother, Aaron (Ernestine) Malone, of Gates, Tenn.; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Second Baptist Church, 2925 South 18th St. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.; memorial service will start at 12 p.m. Interment and final resting entrusted to Thompson Mortuary, 150 Volz Ave., Ripley, Tenn.
