Jerry A. Cooper

Jerry A. Cooper, 57, of Lafayette, passed away at IU Arnett Hospital on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Born April 15, 1956 in Lafayette, he was the son of Charles M. Cooper of Lafayette and the late Virginia (Nehrig) Cooper.

Jerry was a 1974 graduate of Wainwright High School.

He married Pam S. Daily on September 3, 1977 in Lafayette and she survives. Jerry has been a crane operator for Alcoa for 38 years. He attended Cornerstone Baptist Church and he enjoyed fishing, golfing, water skiing, and hunting.

Surviving with his wife and father is his sister, Rebecca Stanley of Lafayette and his brother, John R. Cooper (wife, Lisa) of Battle Ground; a nephew, Daniel Stanley, three nieces, Shelby Cooper (fiancé, Adam), Tracie Kunke (husband, Earl), and Jennifer Stanley; a great nephew, Novah Cooper-Hart; two great nieces, Riley Cooper and Brianna Kunke; aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Brenda Brown.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral service 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor James Chase and Pastor Mike Vauters officiating.
