John C. Silver

Williamsport - John C. Silver, 47, Williamsport, passed away at the St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, on Monday, November 25, 2013, at 5:49 p.m.

John was born in Indianapolis, IN, on January 4, 1966. He was the son of Joyce (Hamilton) Silver of Williamsport and the late Thomas Martin Silver. John was raised in Warren County in the Tab and Pence areas. He has resided in Williamsport for the past 8 years. He was a graduate of Seeger Memorial High School in 1984 and attended Blackhawk College in Kewanee, IL.

John worked as a machinist for Fairfield Manufacturing in Lafayette and later for Harrison Steel Castings Company. John's favorite passion was working as an independent cattle groomer. You could find him in the cattle barn helping local 4-H youth groom and show cattle.

John was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Attica.

John leaves behind his mother, Joyce Silver, Williamsport; a sister, Lori (Jeff) Young, Fithian, IL; his grandmother, Trudy Hamilton, Hedrick, IN; his girl friend, Susan Reynolds, West Lebanon; three nephews, Brandon Phelps, Justin (Liz) Phelps and Jason (Laura) Young; a niece, Nicole (Eric) Coffey; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Friday, Nov. 29th, from 5:00- 8:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 407 S. Perry St., Attica, on Saturday, Nov. 30th, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. David Rasner officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Attica.
