John Wayne Weston, 57, of Anderson, passed away March 10, 2012 at his home.
He was born September 10, 1954 in Rensselaer, Indiana and was an Anderson resident since 1981 and a former Indianapolis resident.
John was employed at Conner Prairie Interactive History Park as lead historic woodworker for 30 years.
He was a member of IAACA, Cutter's Raiders Paradise Pass, S.A.S.S., and many other organizations. He was a master carpenter and well known for his woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Debra D. (Harless) Weston whom he married October 18, 1980; mother, Carolyn (Read) Weston of Morocco; sister, Kathy Sigo of Goodland; niece, Melissa (husband, Tim) McEwen; nephews, Eric Bailey, Jeff (wife, Heather) Harless, and James (wife, Kelly) Harless; eight great nieces, Lauren Hall, Maya McEwen, Anna McEwen, Emma McEwen, Harley Harless, Paige Harless, Emily Harless, and Ashley Harless; great nephew, Colton Hall; sister-in-law, Bernita Harless; and brothers-in-law, Mike Harless and Pat Harless.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Wayne Weston; and brothers-in-law, Robin Harless and Tim Harless.
Services: 10 A.M., Friday, March 16, 2012 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064. Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Henry County.
Visitation: 4-8 P.M., Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Lahm Chapel.
