June Lowery-Berry, 56, of Lafayette passed away on April 20, 2013 at 3:20 a.m. at her residence. June was born on June 11, 1956 in Indianapolis to the late Carl and Monalee Genaro. She was raised in the Carmel, IN area, and moved to Lafayette in 1979. On October 4, 1997 she married Danny L. Berry and he survives. June previously ran Hi-Tec Monograms Inc., owned and operated Supreme Auto Sales and Supreme Reruns, and along with her husband, Danny they owned The Berrys Catering. June enjoyed her family and cooking their meals and entertaining her friends. She also loved to loom blankets, and study her Bible.
Surviving are two children, Adam Lowery and Kristina Shearer, two step-children, Bridget Berry and Gretchen (Victor) Alvizar, five grandchildren, Macy, Kirsten, and Shelby Shearer, and Xander Berry-Laws, and Ryan Alvizar, and three great grandchildren, A.J. and Austin L. Fleming and Karissa J. Shearer. Also surviving are four siblings, Nancy (Scott) West, Cathy (Anastacio) Mendez, Glenna (Jeff) Lynch, and David Genaro, five nieces, three great nephews, and two great nieces.
Memorial services will be on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with memorial visitation one hour prior to the services at Simplicity Funeral Care.
