Linda Kay Howarth, 62, Greenwood Village, Colo. Linda K. Howarth went to be with The Lord on Saturday April 27, 2013, after a medical emergency that lead to significant brain injury; ultimately resulting in her passing.
Linda was a resident of the Southside of Denver for the last 28 years. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, J. Willard "Bill" and Belva G. (Smith) Howarth. She is survived by her son, Matthew "Max" Hall of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and brother, Joseph C. Howarth (Sandra) of Lafayette. She is also survived by a niece, Haleigh J. Nidlinger (Matthew) of Galesburg, Ill.; several cousins and friends. Linda also loved her "pups", Jack and Huck, who also survive and are romping around on a farm in northeast Denver. Linda was a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington with a B.A. in History (1973). She worked most of her adult life in the financial markets as a financial intermediary and funding counselor. She also served as the Secretary to the Iowa Senate in the early 1980s, when residing in Des Moines, Iowa. Linda will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched and who remember her as a strong, passionate woman with a huge heart.
The family will hold Celebration of Life events in Denver, on Thursday May 2, 2013, at CityPub and in Lafayette, at the home of Joe and Sandy Howarth (2142 Foxmoor Lane) on Saturday May 11, 2013, from 5 - 8 p.m. Condolences can be left at storkfamilymortuary.com.
