Linda L. Miles Draper, 67

Linda L. Miles Draper, 67, of Delphi, died Sat., Jan. 11, 2014 at 7:05 a.m., at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. She had battled cancer since Oct. 2011. She was born Nov. 28, 1946 in Junction City, KS, to the late Charles & Jessie Hopper Miles. Her marriage was to Fred E. Draper in Delphi, on July 25, 1965, and he survives. She was a 1965 graduate of Vicenza High School in Italy. She worked for the Delphi Community School Corp., for 30 years, as a reading aide, retiring in 2010, and also worked for 17 years at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center-Delphi. She was a member of the Delphi United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed her Thursday bible study fellowship group in Lafayette, sewing, working word search puzzles, gardening, flowers, and was an avid reader. She was always on the lookout for that special "kid", who needed something, or just a helping hand, behind the scenes, unassuming. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She dearly loved her entire family, and many friends, and all of the memories they created together during Linda's life. Surviving: husband-Fred E. Draper of Delphi; daughters: Becki Baker of Atlanta, GA, Patti & John Hudelson of Delphi; sister-Susan Gratz of Junction City, KS; brothers: Charles & Rhea Miles III of Gig Harbor, WA, Gary & Joyce Miles of Junction City, KS, Steve & Sun Cha Miles of Salina, KS. 4 granddaughters: Allison Danielle Baker; Jordan Nicole, Taylor Jo, & Shelby Danielle Hudelson.
