Mary Kay Haley, 89, of Monticello, joined her husband, Edward M. Haley, on March 19, 2013. Mary Kay was born April 15, 1923, in Columbus. She was married to the late Edward M. Haley in Indianapolis, on Dec. 1, 1945, and they were longtime residents of Battle Ground.
Mary Kay and her husband were owners of Haley's bait shop in Hayward, Wis. She also worked at University Presbyterian Church in West Lafayette for 15 yrs. She then moved to Brookston and worked at Klein Brot Haus (1991-2001). Mary Kay enjoyed playing bingo with her friends at St. Anthony's Health Care in Lafayette.
Mary Kay is survived by four children: a son, Pete Haley of Battle Ground, and three daughters, Cherry Andrews of Lafayette, Dutch DeVault (husband Jim) of Lafayette, and Nelita Weaver (husband David) of Monticello. She also is survived by 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to an 11 a.m. service, Friday, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Rev.
