Mary M. Coghill

Mary Mae (Cooley) Coghill, 72, of West Lafayette, passed away at 10:51 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital. Born July 23, 1940 in Clarks Hill, she was the daughter of the late Bertie and Faye (Burtner) Cooley. She was a graduate of Laramie High School.

Mary was a cook for the Lafayette School Corporation for 3 years and a mother to seven children. She attended St. Boniface Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting, playing video games, watching football, especially the Green Bay Packers and the Indianapolis Colts, and Christmas. Most of all she enjoyed being a mother and grandmother.

Surviving are six sons: Fred Salem Bradbury of Knoxville, TN, Corey A. Cooley (wife, Angie) of Frankfort, IN, Michael B. Bradbury of West Lafayette, Jonathan Scott Bradbury, Jason Eric "Jay" Bradbury, and Samuel Dustin "Doughboy" Bradbury (wife, Christiana) all of Lafayette, and her daughter, Tena L. "Beaner" Thomas (husband, Melvin) of Lafayette. Thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death at birth by her twin sister, Luta Cooley.

Visitation one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Celebrant Carla Ellis officiating. Burial to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
