Mildred A. Hall, 94, of Templeton, died at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital in Lafayette, 5:35 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, where she had been a patient for the past week. She had been a patient at Heritage Healthcare in West Lafayette the past two months.
Mildred was born near Templeton in Benton County on April 28, 1918, the daughter of the late William G. and Stella Jones Farrell and attended Otterbein schools.
She married Oren A. Hall at Williamsport, July 23, 1934, and he preceded her in death, May 4, 1990.
Mildred was owner and operator of Hall's Grocery in Templeton for many years, and also served as postmistress of the U.S. Post Office in Templeton for 35 years, and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Oxford.
Surviving is a daughter, Shirley A. Zink, of Oxford; four grandchildren, Robin (husband: Rex) Tribbett, Kelisa Zink, Shaun (husband: Clark) Ponder and Patrick (wife: Jennifer) Zink; and five great-grandchildren, Hillary Tribbett, Brooke Ponder and Shelby, Lane and Kale Zink.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends my call at St. Patick's Catholic Church in Oxford from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Fr. Robert Klemme officiating, with interment to follow in Oxford Catholic Cemetery. Friends may best express sympathy with memorials to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
