William Lee "Bill" Holloway

William Lee "Bill" Holloway, 82, of Delphi died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on June 05, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Lewis and Mary (Tillman) Holloway. He graduated from Chester High School and graduated from Niagara Community College in Niagara Falls , New York with an Associates of Arts in Industrial Engineering. On July 25, 1955 he married Mary Jane Lenz. Mary Jane and William raised three beautiful daughters together before later divorcing.

Bill was an Army Veteran and served as an Army Ranger from July 27, 1953 during the Korean Conflict until his honorable discharge on June 23, 1955. He retired from Fairfield Manufacturing in Lafayette after 18 loyal years of service.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking, and fixing anything that needed fixing, He was a mechanic and an electrician and enjoyed putzing around, Bill could not sit still. You could say he was a "man of many trades".

He is survived by his three daughters, Patricia Beck (Timothy) of Pendleton, Diana Holloway (Sandy) of Pittsboro, Tammy Kerr (Bill) of Brookston; three grand-daughters, Jessica and Rachael Beck, and Cassandra Kerr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, ex-wife Mary Jane, and sister Virginia Holloway.

A visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of memorial service at 11 am, Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Chapel with Chaplain Zachary Rainey of Southern Care Hospice officiating.

Interment with Military Rites will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
