Arno G. Trilus

Arno G. Trilus, 87, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014 in Indiana University Health.

He was born on January 7, 1927 in East Prussia to the late Albert and Maria Trilus.

On May 13, 1953, he married Lydia Redmann in Witten, Germany; she survives.

Arno and Lydia owned and operated A&L Meats and Groceries before retiring. He had previously worked for Purdue University in the food stores as a meat cutter.

Arno is survived by his wife, Lydia of Lafayette; son, Dieter (Debby) Trilus of Rossville; daughter, Linda (Rob) Hankins of Kirklin; grandchildren, Erin (Ryan) Long of Speedway, Michael Trilus of Indianapolis, Mathew Trilus of Rossville, and Amelia Hankins of Kirklin; and a great grandson, Grant Daniel Long of Speedway.

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2014 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Shaw officiating. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
