Farrell "Ray" Boyce

Farrell "Ray" Boyce, of Lafayette, died May 8, 2014. Born August 20, 1969 to Gerald Boyce and the late Sharron Horn Bailey in Long Beach California. He grew up in Richmond, IN where he graduated from high school. He was married to Jennifer Boyce on August 27, 2012.

Ray was a "Mr. Fix-It", he could fix anything as he enjoyed working with his hands. He liked working on vehicles, and fixing things around the house. He had a love for playing the guitar and singing. He was very good at dancing. He enjoyed camping and being with his family. He was the baby of 8 children and he always looked to his family for approval.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Michael Johnson of Richmond. His son Joseph Alan Mathew Boyce of Lafayette. His daughters Keshia Michelle Boyce-Lambert and Brittney Renee Boyce-Lambert of Richmond. His Step-daughters Sunshine and Jasmine Godsey. His brothers Patrick Boyce (Chyrl) of Panama City Fl. John Boyce of Panama City, Fl. Darren Boyce of Richmond. Lawrence Boyce. Shauntesy Boyce (Kerry) of Lafayette. His Sisters. Dyanne Farris of Panama City Fl Jeannette Hancock (Pat). His grandchildren Jaleah Elizabeth Johnson, Adeline Mychelle Johnson, Jayden Travis Goddard, Raimend Jace Carter all of Richmond. Nieces and nephews, Celestial, Mychelle, Ceri, C.J., Brandon, Dakotah, Shane, Gavin, Shay, Connor.

He is preceded in death by his mother Sharron L. Bailey. His nephew Joshua Benjamin Hancock His niece Shauna Lee Boyce and Grandson Bentley Chase Carter.

He attended Faith Baptist Church.

Services will be Thursday May 15. Pastor Nick Lees officiating. Family can be there at 1:00 and friends can be there at 1:30 and the service is at 2:00. Is it at Simplicity Funeral Home 1608 Schuyler Avenue Lafayette Memorial contributions in Rays memory may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
