Floyd D. Kipp

Floyd D. "Doug" Kipp, 69, of Wingate, IN, passed away at 2:10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at I.U. Health Arnett Hospital. Born March 30, 1945 in Colburn, he was the son of the late Floyd D. and Mildred (Hathaway) Kipp. He was a 1963 graduate of East Tipp High School.

Doug married Martha "Murph" Brissey Morehouse on August 18, 1986 in Woodland Park, CO and she survives. He farmed in Tippecanoe County and worked for Alcoa for 10 years. He was also a school bus driver for Tippecanoe School Corporation and Wawassee School Corporation. He was a former member of the Colburn EUB Church which his grandfather helped to build.

He was a member of various antique tractor clubs, enjoyed traveling and visiting Wyoming, South Dakota, and New Orleans, riding ATV's collecting guns, and attending gun shows.

Surviving with his wife are his children, Michele Everett (husband, Mike) of Camden, IN, Suzanne Wolf (husband, Johnathan) of New Carlisle, OH, and John Kipp (wife, Karen) of Ft. Wayne, IN; two stepchildren, Teryl Scott of Newtown, IN and Eldon Morehouse (wife, Janet) of Battle Ground, IN, 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Angela Lynn Hickman and a sister, Roberta Jane Garrard.

Memorial visitation Sunday, June 8, 2014, from noon to 2 p.m. at Hippensteel Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 2 p.m., with Rev. Jack Scott officiating.
