Curtis Ray Ewing, 71, of Lafayette, passed away at home on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 1:15 p.m. Born April 14, 1943 in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Lawrence B. and Margaret L. (Young) Ewing. He was a 1961 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. He honorably served in the Air Force National Guard with the 181st Fighter Wing and was discharged in January of 1971.
Curtis married Carol R. Ingle on March 5, 1966 in Lafayette and she survives. He was an elevator maintenance foreman for Purdue University from 1963 until his retirement in 1996. He then worked for Tippecanoe County Community Corrections from 1999 to 2005. He attended First Church of the Nazarene of Lafayette. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #724 in West Lafayette and Scottish Rite.
Surviving with his wife is a daughter, Sally J. Boling (husband, Jerry) of Lafayette, and a grandson, Jerry "Lil Bear" Boling. He was preceded in death by a daughter Sharon R. Huber (Tim) and a sister Susie Mae England.
Visitation from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Hippensteel Funeral Home with Masonic service at 7 p.m. Funeral service 10 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev.
