Elma Louise (Pearson) Buster, 89

Attica - Elma Louise (Pearson) Buster, 89, formerly of the Riverside community, passed away at the Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center, Williamsport, IN, on Thursday, July 3, 2014, at 12:42 p.m.

Louise was born in Riverside, Indiana, on August 17, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Fern John and Mable L. (Wagoner) Pearson. Louise graduated from Attica High School in 1942. She had lived all of her life in Riverside and Attica.

Louise started working at the DeMotte Insurance Agency in Williamsport in January of 1959. She worked for the agency for 31 years. She later worked as a secretary at the State Farm Insurance Agency in Lafayette, retiring in 1990.

Louise was a member of the Bethel Community Church. She loved playing cards, traveling to see family, crocheting, baking cakes. Following her retirement she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Louise always had a loving smile that no one forgot.

On December 24, 1943, Louise married Edgar "Bus" Buster. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1966.

Louise leaves behind her daughter, Robin (companion-Ira Wilson) King, Williamsport; four grandchildren, Jona (William) Johnson, El Paso, IL; Kim (Tim) Purifoy, Cheyenne, WY; Troy (Angie) Weaver, Sioux Falls, SD and Jim King, Jr., Attica; eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Donna Wolfe and Joyce Weaver and her husband Robert; a granddaughter, Kristina (Wolfe) Crawford; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Louise Purifoy and two sisters, Helen Fawbush and Lucille Chastain.

Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Sunday, July 6th, from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 7th, at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Zach Rainey officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Community Church.
