Patti LaGue, 60, of Brookston, died at 7:29 am, July 30, 2014 at IU Health Arnett of Lafayette, after courageously battling pancreatic cancer.
She was born on November 8, 1953 in Marion, IL to the late Robert and Verna (Fry) Hearn and was a 1971 graduate from Frontier High School.
Patti married her best friend and life love, Robert LaGue, on January 8, 1972. Patti and Robert went on to have three children, Aaron LaGue, Amber Stingley (husband: Dan), and Amelia Nielson (husband: Tim).
From an early age, Patti showed great interest and skill as an artist. She enjoyed a great variety of crafts such as, painting, sculpting, crocheting, sewing, and scrapbooking. Through the years, Patti turned her passion for arts, crafts, and floral works into several successful business endeavors. Her greatest love and her true life's work was creating something to bring joy to others.
Most recently, Patti was an employee at Crop Production Services in Chalmers. She made many friends and enjoyed her time there.
Patti adored and cherished her grandchildren, Jade, Bryce, Faith, Nova, and Ruby. She loved spending the weekend flying kites, making crafts, or just enjoying time spent with them. She was extremely proud of each of them for all the reasons that make them special.
Patti's children and grandchildren are her legacy. She loved them deeply and that will never be forgotten.
She is also survived by her brothers, Gary Page of Marion, IL, and Robert Hearn (wife: Tammy) of Springfield, IL.
One of Patti's favorite quotes was, "My humble advice is to always, always, share your love with your loved ones." -Mark Victor Hansen- As she is remembered, this will be as well.
