Jason Alberts Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 17, 2016.
Jason "Jake" C. Alberts, 44

Jason "Jake" C. Alberts, 44, of Wolcott, passed away at 4:13 AM, Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital of Indianapolis. He was born February 14, 1972 in Lafayette, IN to Robert and Patricia (Byron) Alberts.

Jason was a 1990 graduate of Tri-County High School. He also graduated from Earlham College of Richmond, IN with a Bachelor's Degree in History. He married the love of his life, Tiffany Younts, "honey," on September 28, 1996 in West Jefferson, Ohio. Jason and Tiffany in the past two years moved from Warsaw, IN to Wolcott, IN.

We lost the best husband, daddy, and friend we could ever have hoped for. He loved his family more than words can say. He was our teddy bear, goofball, tender hearted, and love of our lives. He treasured the time with his children - playing with them, watching them and teaching them. Family was so very important to him! Jason and his wife attended Warsaw Community Church for 13 years prior to their move to Wolcott. He was a Senior Insurance Adjuster at American Modern Insurance for the past 13 years. Jason enjoyed coaching football and baseball. Jason not only loved coaching from a sports aspect, he was dedicated to them becoming fine young men. Family, coworkers and friends looked up to Jake, always getting a smile out of them, with his unique and awesome wit.

Surviving with his parents and wife are children, Luke Christopher Alberts, Myah Elizabeth Alberts, Jacob Wesley Alberts, Joseph Henry Alberts, and Samuel James Alberts; brothers, Jeffrey (Stacie) Alberts, Jon Alberts, Justin (Amanda) Alberts; mother and father-in-law, Rick and Ruth Younts; brother-in-law, Chad (Annisa) Younts. He is also survived by 6 nephews and 3 nieces.

Jason is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Vincent and Clarissa Byron; paternal grandparents, Harry and Lois Alberts; uncles, Bill and Dave Alberts.

Friends may call from 3-8 PM (EST) Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Remington United Methodist Church. Funeral Service 11:00 AM (EST) Friday, May 20, 2016 also at the Remington United Methodist Church. Rev. Mary vanWijk to officiate. Interment to follow in Remington Cemetery.
