David Lee Bennett

On October 26, 2012, David Lee Bennett of Earl Park Indiana, went dancing and celebrating into the arms of his Savior and best friend Jesus Christ.

David was born to Janet Opal Laffoon Bennett Burgess, and Robert Lee Bennett on April 9, 1958

In August of 1977, he dedicated his life to serving the United States of America in the Marine Corps, where he served three years active and three years inactive duty, honorably. SEMPER FI

On June 18, 1983 David married the love of his life, Jennifer Ann Taylor. They were blessed to bring into this world; two wonderful children a daughter and a son, and they were able to live a life full of love, laughter, horses, chickens, and being the very best of friends.

He is survived by his wife Jennifer and his children Miranda Lynn, and Ryan Patrick Wirtz of Fowler Indiana, and Justin Dean and Helena Carpenter Bennett of Attica Indiana.

God blessed David with five amazing grandchildren; Abigail Leigh Wirtz, Eden Sarah Wirtz, Savannah Lynn Wirtz, Justin David Bennett, and Josie Layne Bennett. Also surviving is his dad Robert Lee Bennett of Earl Park, mom Linda Bennett Haynes of Fort Wayne, Virginia (Granny) Taylor of Fowler, and James and Pat Taylor of Lafayette.

His brothers and sisters that he leaves behind, only for them to catch up are Scott and Denise Bennett of Grapevine Texas, Ernie Burgess of Tennessee, Roger and Rhonda Burgess of Springville Tennessee, Tom Burgess of Tennessee, Jane Cole and friend Kevin of Paris Tennessee, Vicki Blaski and friend Rob of Paris Tennessee, and Gary Cole of Buchannan Tennessee.

He also leaves behind lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins to whom he loved dearly.

David and Jennifer along with their children and their families attend White Horse Christian Center at 1780 Cumberland Avenue, West Lafayette Indiana. This is where a celebration of his life will be held on November 1, 2012. Starting at 5 pm will be a greeting and gathering of family and friends and at 7 pm there is a time set aside to celebrate and share David's life.

A private burial service will be held on November 2, 2012.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in care of David Bennett memorial fund at Kentland Bank, Kentland Indiana.
