Mr. John W. Tatman, passed away from natural causes at his Lebanon residence on Sunday morning, October 28, 2012, at the age of 85.
John W. Tatman was born in Brookston, Indiana, on October 18, 1927, the son of the late Levi Cleveland and Mae Belle (Robertson) Tatman.
Reared and educated in Brookston, Indiana, he attended Brookston High School. Following school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country honorably.
He was married to Sylvia (Miller) Erlenbach, and they divorced. On August 29, 1969, in Reynolds, Indiana, he was married to Rosemond B. (Zarse) Tatman. Mrs. Tatman passed away on July 29, 2010.
John spent several years in Riverton, Wyoming working as a driver for Herman Trucking and then as a heavy equipment operator for Lucky Mac and Union Carbide. He moved to Florida where he worked for Waste Pro. John moved to Lebanon in 2010 to be closer to his family.
As a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great great-grandfather, he loved his family dearly. He was an avid horseman all of his life.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Pastor Scott Mauch will be officiating.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at the funeral home in Lebanon, Indiana. Interment will follow at a later date at Lutheran Cemetery in Reynolds, Indiana.
He is survived by his six children: Mrs. June Brown (Bruce), Delphi, Mr. Wayne Tatman (Amanda), Casper, Wyoming, Mrs. Rosie Kauffman (David), Lebanon, Mr. Nelson Wood (Nancy), Sanford, Florida, Mr. Fred Wood (Marla), Athens, Georgia, Mr. Burt Marchard-Hartman, Bringhurst. He is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Norma Tatman, Riverton, Wyoming; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; one brother, Mr. Dale Tatman, Monticello and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Sigman, Lake Placid, Florida.
