Frederick J. Russo Jr., 73

Frederick J. "Fred" Russo Jr., 73, of Lafayette, passed away at 8:10 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at IU Arnett Hospital. Born October 19, 1939, in Woburn, MA, he resided in Southbury, CT before coming to Tippecanoe County in 1997. He graduated from Woburn High School in 1957. Fred honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957 to 1963.

His marriage was to Virginia A. Giffin on July 15, 1998, in Lafayette and she survives. He was the Houston Coordinator for the IU Health Arnett Hospital from 2008 to the present. He enjoyed his family, his children, his grandchildren and watching football.

Surviving with his wife are three daughters, Evelyn Harron, (husband, Thomas), Susan Russo, (husband, Bryan Logue), and Lisa Argizzoni, (companion, Rick Capabianco), all of Boston; three sons, David Russo of Connecticut, Eric Russo, (wife, Shannon), of Boston, and Mark Russo of New York; two step-daughters, Amanda Burns (husband, Russell), of Noblesville and Jessica Kennedy (husband, Adam) of Lafayette; and one sister, Ann Barrett, (husband, Ralph), of Georgia. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren: Tommy, Brian, and Christopher Harron, Jennifer Erwin, Kristin Logue, Scott Argizzoni, Allyssa, Taylor, Jacelyn and Irelyn Burns, Jared and Lauren Kennedy and Dylan Russo; and 2 great-grandchildren: Colin Harron and Georgia Erwin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick J. and Margaret Milo Russo, Sr.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Friday November 16, 2012, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in the Skehan Learning Center, Room AG411, 5165 McCarty Lane, Lafayette. The memorial service will follow at 4:30 p.m. in the chapel at the hospital, with Chaplain Charles Self officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the .
