BOSWELL — Orena M. Lappin, 94, was called home to be with her Lord, Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Cumberland Pointe Health Campus.
She was born February 20, 1918, in Andersonville, Tenn., to the late Phillip and Myrtle (Elkins) Vaught.
She was a 1936 graduate of Ambia High School. She married, Everett Lappin, June 20, 1951; he died April 7, 1979. She was a member of the Boswell Church of Christ, where she also taught Sunday school, Kings Daughters and the Boswell Senior Citizens. She was also a past board member of the former Boswell Community Ambulance Service.
She had worked for 17 years at the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Boswell, retiring June 30, 1983.
She is survived by her daughter, Margene Johnson Anderson (Husband, Mel), of Boswell, six granddaughters, two grandsons and 10 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, son-in-law, Jerry Hall, daughter-in-law, Linda Lappin and brother-in-law, Morris Clark.
A daughter, Kay Hall, two sons, Donald and Richard Lappin, grandson, Terry Johnson, sister, Margie Clark and two brothers, Glenn and Robert Vaught precede her in death.
Visitation will be, Jan. 15, 2013, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., at the Boswell Church of Christ with John Morris officiating.
Burial will be at the Boswell Cemetery.
