Patricia Ann (Metzinger) Taylor, 74

Patricia Ann (Metzinger) Taylor, 74, of Lafayette passed away on January 23, 2013, at 3:13 a.m. at IU Health Arnett. Patricia was born on August 11, 1938, in Dunnington to Leonard and Lucille (Sondergroth) Metzinger. She graduated from Freeland Park High School. Her first marriage was to Glenn McDaniel. She then married James Allen Taylor on January 15, 1982, and he survives. Patricia worked at Essex Wire, Mac Co., Pats Ceramics, Nally Brothers John Deere, Leo Electric, and MJV Cleaning.

Surviving along with her mother, Lucille Metzinger are six children, Valerie Albertson (fiancé: Kevin Braaksma), of Remington, Michelle (Ron) Martin, of Newburgh, Brian "Mac" (Emily) McDaniel, of Boswell, Jennifer Bennett, of Earl Park, Nicole (Jeff) McConnell, of Brownsburg, and Kathleen (Chad) Hoey, of Lafayette; ten siblings, Leonard "Sonny" (Annette) Metzinger Jr., of Fowler, Jerry (Sheryl) Metzinger, of West Lafayette, Janet Garing, of Fowler, Joyce (Howard) Haynes, of Ambia, Robert "Bob" (Donna) Metzinger, of Delphi, Thomas "Tom" (Norma) Metzinger, of Falls Church, Va., Ronald "Ron" (Linda) Metzinger, of Otterbein, Carol Musser, of West Lafayette, Kathleen "Kay" (Don) Illingsworth, of West Lafayette, and Stephen "Steve" (Carol) Metzinger, of Independence, Ky.; ten grandchildren, Emmett Albertson, Wesley Martin, Landon and Marybeth McDaniel, Miranda (Ryan) Wirtz, Justin (Helena) Bennett, Preston and Addison McConnell, and Rebeccah and Sarah Beth Hoey; and five great-grandchildren, Abigail, Eden and Savannah Wirtz and Justin David and Josie Bennett.

Patricia is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Metzinger; her son-in-law, David Bennett; and two brother-in-laws, Gary Musser and Donald Garing.

Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. February 2, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dunnington; Father Donald Gross officiating. There will be a Memorial visitation from 9 to 11 a.m., with the Catholic Rosary at 8:30 a.m. that morning.
