I have wonderful memories working with Herb at Defouw's, Herb taught a young man a lot about life ! God Speed my Friend.

September 23, 2016

I was saddened to hear of Herb's passing; I had known and handled his insurance needs for many, many years. Such a kind and gentle man, so soft spoken and such a joy to talk to.
My thoughts and prayers to Virginia and the entire family.

Greatly miss my "cousin". For many years we talked weekly at 8:00 PM for a minimum of 30 minutes usually running into overtime which both of us never seemed to mind. I had a dentist in Flora which allowed me to have an excuse to visit them at least twice a year. Anna & I would sometimes call them on Saturday or Sunday & take either Long John Silvers or Arby's roast beef and spend Sunday afternoon with them. What great memories we have & will cherish them forever
