Boyd Fields Obituary
Boyd N. Fields, 69, of Peru, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at his residence.
Born June 3, 1948 in Clarks Hill, Indiana to the late Robert and Kathryn (Collins) Fields. Boyd married Evelyn Ann Johnson on June 3, 1981 in Lafayette, she survives.
Professionally, Boyd was self-employed. He was the "Junk Man" known for collecting scrap and recycling. Boyd enjoyed county music and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife Evelyn, Boyd is survived by his children, Todd (wife: Candy) Wilkinson of Peru, IN and Shayanna (husband: Timothy) Drow of Peru, IN; siblings, Bobbie Treece of Lafayette, IN and Helen (husband: Jack) Clements of Lafayette, IN; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Boyd is preceded in death by three brothers in addition to his parents.
A Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. In lieu of usual remembrances, direct memorial contributions to IU Health Arnett Hospice. Please share memories and condolences online at www.hippensteelfuneralservice.com.
