Jacksonville | Nettie L. Dixon, 79, transitioned on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Onslow Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2016, at St Julia AME Zion Church with Reverend Dr. Amy Ciceron officiating. Burial will follow at the Cross Creek Cemetery No. 4 in Fayetteville. Mrs. Dixon was a member of St. Julia AME Zion Church where she served on the St. Julia Missionary Society, Lay Council, Hospitality Committee, and the Golden Hiers. She was also affiliated with Bell Fork Homes Association, N.A.A.C.P., Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 305, and Anne Chesnutt Alumni Association in Fayetteville, NC. Survivors include daughters, Audrey Dixon of Atlanta, Georgia, Terri Dixon Bowens of East Point, Georgia, Miriam Dixon Perkins of Jacksonville; sisters, Flora Drye and Brenda Richardson, both of Fayetteville; brother, Robert Meekins of Columbia, South Carolina. Randolph ""Randy"" Bryan Davey, 56, of Jacksonville died April 25, 2016, at his home. He is survived by his wife, Deanna Smith; daughter, Amanda Velasquez, both of Jacksonville; sister, Kathy Wilson of Brown Summit, NC; and grandchild, Mason Velasquez. He was a former photographer for the Jacksonville Daily News. The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2016, at Ducks in Jacksonville. Dolman, Robert  
Captain Robert John Dolman, USMC Ret., 85, of Jacksonville, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. Born on May 22, 1930, in Yonkers, NY, he was a son of the late Frederick and Catherine Dunn Dolman. He retired from the USMC after 31 years of honorable service, having held 15 ranks, from Pvt through Captain. Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen Brunkhorst (Greg), Jean Marie Reynolds, both of Jacksonville; a brother, Frederick Dolman Jr., of Florida; eight grandchildren, Eric Brunkhorst (Katie), Sara Brunkhorst (Ben), Sean Miller (Emily), Connor Miller, Ian, Seth, and Jacob Reynolds, Zachary Dolman; and three great-grandchildren, Damien Brunkhorst, Seamus and Teagan Miller. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Dolman; a son, Robert Dolman Jr.; and a daughter, Virginia Miller. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 29 in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Burial, with full military honors will follow in Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. Electronic condolences may be left for the family at Jonesfh.org.
