Christine Fyderek

Christine Noel Fyderek, 49, of Richlands, was welcomed into Heaven with loving arms on Jan. 21, 2013, after a courageous 2 1/2 year battle with cancer.

Chris was born Nov. 25, 1963, aboard Camp Lejeune. She attended White Oak High School and Coastal Carolina Community College.

She is survived by her children, Danielle Shreve of Morehead City, James Shreve of Montpellier, Vt., and Emily Lester of the home; four grandchildren, Aidan, Christian, Mason and Taylor; father, Joel Fyderek of Jacksonville; mother, Bonnie Brown Fyderek of Mannsville, N.Y.; sister, Jodie Santiago (Scott) of Virginia Beach, Va.; brother, Jeff Fyderek (Pearl) of Savannah, Ga., five nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in New York and along the East Coast.

A memorial service will be held this summer in Mannsville, N.Y., after her brother and brother-in-law return from deployments. Her wishes were to be cremated and have her ashes scattered at the graves of her maternal grandparents, Charles and Betty Brown.
