William Parker Sr.

SNEADS FERRY - William Earl Parker Sr., 68, of Sneads Ferry, left for Heaven on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at home, while surrounded by all his family.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at Folkstone Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Ronnie Parker, Pastor Mitchell Parker and Pastor Ferrell Osborne officiating. Burial will follow at the Turkey Creek Community Cemetery.

Mr. Parker retired from Parts Associates in 1998, and has since worked as a real estate broker for Kathy S. Parker Real Estate.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius Benjamin Parker and Ethel Sanders Parker; and two brothers, Robert Lee Parker and Julius Benjamin Parker Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Kathy Stilley Parker of the home; one son, Billy Parker and his wife, Liz of Sneads Ferry; one daughter, Jennifer Parker and her husband, Jody of Sneads Ferry; four brothers, Troy Parker and his wife, Karen, of Sneads Ferry, Walter Parker and his wife, Gail, of Sneads Ferry, Paul Parker of Lincolnton and Mitchell Parker and his wife, Gloria, of Sneads Ferry; seven grandchildren, Zack Parker and his wife, Amanda, Nicole Parker, Sarah Parker Hansley and her husband, James, Jasmine Parker, Jordan Parker, Kasey Shafer-Parker and Kimberly Shafer and Kinsey; and three great-granddaughters, Paris Parker, Aurora Hansley and Theresa Parker.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Jones Funeral Home, Holly Ridge Chapel, 207 Dyson Street, Holly Ridge, NC 28445.
