CAPITAL HEIGHTS, Md. -- William Decarroll Smith of Capital Heights Md., died April 26, 2014.
Funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, May 2 at Saunders Funeral Home with the Rev. Linwood Darden officiating.
He attended Arizona State University and retired from The Washington Post.
Survivors include his wife, Jean W. Smith of the home; sons, David Smith of Washington, D.C., Nyles Smith of Capital Heights, Md.; daughter, Deborah Hoffman of Midway Park; brother, Charles Smith of Silver Springs, Md.; sisters, Sadie Dudley, Diane Saunders, Gwendolyn Canady, Nell Morgan, all of Richlands, Madie McLean of Manhattan, N.Y., Angelina Jackson of Atlanta.
