Donald Allen Walton, 82, of Jacksonville, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Carolina Rivers, Jacksonville.
Mr. Walton retired from the United States Marine Corps after 31 years, having served in Vietnam and Korea. He attended Northwoods United Methodist Church in Jacksonville.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 at Northwoods United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rick Moser officiating. Burial will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Corinne Ferrier.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred K. Walton of Jacksonville; one son, Timothy Mark Walton and wife Debra Taylor Walton of Alabaster, Ala.; two daughters, Connie Webb and husband Michael Webb of Lewisville, Texas, and Laura Walton of Jacksonville; one sister, Dixie Tirey of Farmersville, Ohio; six grandchildren, Curtis, Claude, Stephen, Annabeth, Taylor, and Jordan; and one great-grandchild, Hunter.

, The Kidney Foundation, or The National Federation of the Blind.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
