SgtMaj Edward J. Pike, USMC, Retired, 74, of Jacksonville, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, August 24, 2014.

Born on May 9, 1940, he was a son of the late Clarence and Dorothy Decker Pike. He was retired from the USMC having served 30 years, and was the Drivers Education teacher at White Oak High School for 15 years.
Surviving, are his wife, Georgia "Pat" Pike of the home; two daughters, Dori Pike Pihoker (Frank) of Columbia Station, OH, Patricia Pike Hollowell (Jeff) of Newport, NC; and four grandchildren, Erica Waldron, Alexis Pihoker, Frank J. Pihoker, and Hailey Nesbitt.
Funeral services will be 11 am, Friday, August 29, 2014 in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home, with Pastor Jody Yopp officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 am until 11 am Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kellum Baptist Church Building Fund; 1167 Kellum Loop Road; Jacksonville, NC 28546.
