JACKSONVILLE – Harry T. Rose, 88, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at Onslow Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Jacksonville Seventh Day Adventist Church on College Street with the Rev. Will Oosthuizen officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
He was a retired Gunnery Sergeant with the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
His wife, Marjorie Peterson Rose; daughter, Carolyn Rose Luckett; and son, Kenneth Rose, both of Stafford, Va., precedes him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Starrette and Patricia Henson, both of Jacksonville; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
